Eye Of The Beholder Magazine:Issue One, Part 4

First, we have Jessica E. Houde, her profile is as follows. 18 years old,a freshman in college over in connecticut,studies nuclear engineering technology and hobbies include running a robotics team, going for walks, writing poetry and songs, dancing, singing and playing solitaire.

She has been writing for two or three years and uses bits of her writings as her "away" messages, a bit unique to say the least.

According to what I read,Jessica is also into comics, and.... moshing? Not something you'd expect from somebody studying Nuclear engineering, I suppose everyone has their surprises. In a chat we had. When asked what inspired most of her poetry she replied "broken relationships",

You know how the old saying goes though.Pain makes good art. I wish Jessica the best in all that she does in the coming years. May her appearance and publication here be a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

In closing I would like to share with the  world one of Jessica's poems.

"throw a rock against the sky
and find me the perfect sunrise.
find me a place of quiet serenity
and i will show you the map.
i have never found such a place,
my roads lead through tunnels,
and buildings of odd dismay.
color my world with some crayons,
and i'll erase every mark you made"

 There are many more great,talented people just waiting to be discovered. To those out there I will say never give up your dreams. Someday,if you are driven enough, your dreams will be fulfilled.  My hope is, as always that this publication will open doors for many great people's futures.
