The BCS Bowl matchups have been decided and it is time to pick the winners. Here are my picks and predictions for the 2009-2010 BCS Bowl games.

2009-2010 College BCS Bowl Games: Predictions and Picks

BCS Bowl Game #1: 2010 Rose Bowl: Oregon vs. Ohio State

Game Time/Schedule: 1/1/2010 4:30 (Eastern Time)
Television: ABC
Current Game Odds/Spread: Oregon Favored by 3 1/2

Ohio State:
Record 10-2
Losses: USC and Purdue
Big Wins: Penn State and Iowa
Key Player: QB Terrelle Pryor

Oregon:
Record 10-2
Losses: Boise State and Stanford
Big Wins: Oregon State, USC, California and Utah
Key Player: QB Jeremiah Masoli

In a battle of athletic quarterbacks, Oregon vs. Ohio State should be a good game to watch. The early spread has this BCS Game as one of the closely matched ones with Oregon favored by 31/2 points. I am going to take Oregon in this one as they should prove to be too much. Ohio State had a big loss to USC whereas Oregon beat USC .

BCS Game Prediction: Oregon 28 Ohio State 20

BCS Bowl Game #2: 2010 Sugar Bowl: Cincinnati vs. Florida

Game Time/Schedule: 1/1/2010 8:30 (Eastern Time)
Television: Fox
Current Game Odds/Spread: Florida Favored by 10

Cincinnati:
Record: 12-0
Big Wins: Oregon State, West Virginia and Pittsburgh
Key Player: WR Mardy Gilyard

Florida
Record: 12-1
Losses: Alabama
Big Wins: LSU
Key Player: QB Tim Tebow

This should be one of the most watched college bowl games of the season being that it will be Tim Tebow's final college game. Florida will come in ready to redeem themselves and Cincinnati barely beat Pittsburgh. I take Florida in an easy win.

BCS Game Prediction: Florida 34 Cincinnati 17

BCS Bowl Game #3: 2010 Fiesta Bowl: Boise State vs. TCU

Game Time/Schedule: 1/4/2010 8:00 (Eastern Time)
Television: Fox
Current Game Odds/Spread: TCU Favored by 7

Boise State:
Record 13-0
Big Wins: Oregon and Nevada
Key Player: QB Kellen Moore

TCU:
Record:12-0
Big Wins: BYU and Utah
Key Player:QB Andy Dalton

The Fiesta Bowl is a match up of two undefeated teams with Boise State being the top offensive team in college football and TCU the top defensive team in college football. In a slight upset, I see offense winning out here.

BCS Game Prediction: Boise State 24 TCU 21

BCS Bowl Game #4: 2010 Orange Bowl: Georgia Tech vs. Iowa

Game Time/ Schedule: 1/5/2010 8:00 (Eastern Time)
Television: Fox
Current Game Odds/ Spread: Georgia Tech Favored by 3 1/2

Georgia Tech
Record-11-2
Losses: Miami & Georgia
Big Wins: Virginia Tech and Clemson (Twice)
Key Player: RB Jonathan Dwyer

Iowa
Record 10-2
Losses:Northwestern & Ohio State
Big Wins:Penn State & Wisconsin

This match up does not excite me much. Georgia Tech is coming off a big win over Clemson and Iowa has been on a slide as of late. I expect this to continue.

BCS Game Prediction: Georgia Tech 27 Iowa 17

BCS Bowl Game #5: 2010 BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs Texas

Game Time/ Schedule: 1/7/2010 8:00 (Eastern Time)
Television: ABC
Current Game Odds/Spread: Alabama Favored by 5

Alabama
Record 13-0
Big Wins: Florida, LSU, and Virginia Tech
Key Player: RB Mark Ingram

Texas
Record: 13-0
Big Wins: Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Nebraska
Key Player: QB Colt McCoy

Thank you Texas for pulling out the win over Nebraska. The national championship game is now more exciting then a Cincinnati vs. Alabama game would have been. In this battle of the giants, I just feel Alabama is going to be too much for Texas to handle. It should be a good game to watch.

BCS Championship Game Prediction: Alabama 28 Texas 24
