This was the beginning of another great period in his driving career as he went on to notch a considerably successful season with a large number of top ten finishes and some even better than that . He also managed to finish 3rd in the 2006 Busch Series championships, while also managing to come first in one of the races. The year proved to be even more of a success for Bowyer when he managed to chalk up his first Craftsman Truck Series Championship, where he participated with his #46 Jack Daniel's Chevrolet Silverado.
