Woman, How Much Are You Willing To Sacrifice To Stay Beautiful?

Because Xenical is inconvenient when working & messy;Laxatives are just as messy; Surgical enhancement is painful & expensive; Beauty creams are too meticulous--sunblocks, astringent, eye cream, lip cream, pimple cream, what-not-creams, until I finally opted to the natural way of exercising-- and that makes my whole body ache that I can barely move the day after.

I watched The Countess the other day, I was appalled! She wrings the blood from young pure women and wipes it to her face. I have read of stories about the Countess Bathory before, but seeing it in moving pictures gives you the creeps.

And speaking of blood…

In some country (and yes, I mean HERE in my country), old folks believe that women when they reach adolescence, should wipe the first menstrual blood to their face so she’ll grow up to have beautiful skin, rid of pimples. So, could you imagine that? A young girl barely at the threshold of her adolescence, confused and panicking because of the sight of blood in her underwear, and her mom shouting instructions to her to wipe the bloody undies to her face. It’s funny now that I think of it that I was one of those girls years ago. I didn't do it, that was why the Mom would always mention my "rebellious" ways whenever a pimple or two shows up.

The battle to stay beautiful grows ever more complex, we now have surgical, chemical, herbal, natural, what-ever-which-ever ways to stay beautiful and be more beautiful – none of which are pain-free, inexpensive or simply inconvenient, really.

I am not condoning the things women do to make themselves beautiful, believe me, I too am guilty of some of these things. No matter what you do, don’t make the same mistake Countess Bathory did, she strived to be beautiful to please other people, thus, she became obsessed with the vision of beauty.
