PICK A DESIGN FOR A TATTOO & where to get it on your body

DON"T GET A STUPID TATTOO, Your going to have to live with that tattoo for the rest of your life. Think about it , are you going to want a to have a purple unicorn or a woodpecker smoking a cigar on you body it 5 , 10 or 20 years?????

DON'T JUST WALK IN TO A TATTOO SHOP & PICK SOME FLASH OFF THE WALL. Flash is a great place to get ideas. you can use it as a starting point , but make some changes to it. PLUS There is going to be a good chance you will run into someone with the same tattoo. The whole idea it to be unique & original. THINK LONG & HARD ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO HAVE INKED ONTO YOUR BODY & WANT PART OF YOUR BODY TO GET IT. It took me 3 years of long hard thinking to decide what I wanted inked onto my body. I finally decided on a MEMORIAL tattoo. I wanted it to be seen by the whole world so I picked the back of my lower leg. ( I wear shorts most of the time , I'm a SOCAL GUY) ONCE YOU HAVE A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT YOU WANT , TALK TO MORE THAN ONE TATTOO ARTIST. Shop around. In most areas now there are at least a few tattoo shop in most areas of the U.S.A., Walk in & look at the artists book. Most artists keep a book of tattoos they have done. If you don't like the quality of work you see in the book . Don't be afraid to say thanks, I'll think about it & walk out. Once you find someone that has done work that you like. TALK TO HIM. Tell him what you are thinking of getting done & where you want to have it inked. Talk it over , be willing to accept designs & design changes that the artist recommend. He/She has hopefully been doing tattoos for a long time & they are happy to discuss improvements to your design. What will & will not work. Some designs are just to detailed & are hard to make look good even for a talented artist. Fine detail work is not easy & if not done right can look like a colored blotch on your skin. MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE DESIGN After you have decided on a design. Take a day or so to think about it. Because you are going to have that on you for the rest of your life ! ! ! Tattoos can now be removed with lasers. But it will cost you 10 times more to have it removed & you will go through 10 times more pain having it removed. In most cases 90 to 99% of a tattoo can be removed. But I have never seen one removed that was totally gone. NAMES YES or NO ????? Don't have your boy friend or girl friends name inked on to your body. Chances are the relationship will not last & you will have to explain to everyone you date who Darla Jean or Earl is. If your married , Having a husband's or wife's name is borderline at best. Even though your married & they say I will love you FOREVER , you never know witch one will last longer , the tattoo or the marriage. The Tattoo will be there till you die , but will SHE/HE be ??? NAMES THAT ARE OK The names of your children , your stuck with them , Good or Bad they will always be your kids. Names on a MEMORIAL tattoo , this is showing love or respect for a very special person in your life SPELLING If you are going to have any words or names done, MAKE SURE YOU SPELL IT RIGHT & Double Check the spelling when the stencil is put on. I know 3 people that have words or names spelled wrong on their tattoo. ASIAN SYMBOLS & TRIBAL DESIGNS Do your research , make sure that symbol means what you think it does. & make sure to is not upside down or reversed when it is tattoo on. That is just as bad as having words spelled wrong. Most people will not notice it, but there will be the time when some Asian guy walks past you on the street & starts laughing you. WERE TO GET A TATTOO ON YOUR BODY Some Places are better to get inked than others , depending on who you are & if you want it to be seen??? UPPER ARM , Cool for guys & girls , & can be covered up if you don't want it to be seen LOWER ARM , Also great for guys or girls , BUT if you work at a business with UPTIGHT people or want to work in an office , you will have to wear long sleeves for rest of your life or while at work or in a business setting. LEGS , COOL for guy & girls & can be covered up pretty easy. Lower Back , Great for a girl. If your a guy DON'T get it on your lower back , That it totally a chick thing. Unless that is a signal you want to put out to the world??? Hands or Feet COOL for guys or girls , FEET can be covered up easy , HANDS a tattoo on your hands is something that EVERYONE will see. They will think your a gang member or something, no matter what the design is. This isn't what I would think till I got a good look at the tattoo. BUT we live it a would of UP-TIGHT PEOPLE & if they see one little sign of a tattoo on your hands , right away they think GANG MEMBER , CONVICT or CIRCUS FREAK NECK. Borderline , People are going to think GANG MEMBER or CIRCUS FREEK FACE You might as well be a gang member or a circus freak , it is there for everyone to see. Even for people that have tattoos Getting a tattoo on the face is not even an option. You got to be really on the EDGE & want the whole world to see what your all about. I know a guy that is a tattoo artist , he has a beach land scape with sand & waves & palm tree that covers his forehead, The ink work is beautiful. not something I would have done, but he is who he is & he dosen't care who knows it. I say more power to you DUDE. OAKLAND RAIDERS TATTOOS If you have a Oakland Raiders tattoo no matter where it is on your body YOU ARE A GANG MEMBER. LOLOL Just kidding. If you feel that strongly about your team or ANYTHING I don't see anything wrong with letting the world know WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU BELEIVE IN ! ! ! WHO DOES YOUR TATTOO , PICKING AN ARTIST Don't be stupid , do you really think having your half stoned buddy scratch some design on your arm in his mothers basement is a good idea???? if you do go right ahead , don't say I didn;t warn you ! ! ! Have it done in a professional tattoo shop , by a professional Tattoo ARTIST , someone that makes his living doing tattoos. You are more likely to get a finished product you like if it is done by someone that knows what they are doing, in a CLEAN shop PRICE Talk to the artist & agree on a price or hourly fee for something that will take more than one sitting before any work is started.
