Getting Your First TATTOO , DOES IT HURT

  To answer the BIG question first , YES IT DOES HURT. You are being poked thousands of times with needles. BUT How must pain you will experience all depends on where you get the tattoo on your body. If the area has a lot of meat on it them it is less painful, over getting it in a area that is close to the bone. Thighs & the back of your calf , upper arms aren't to bad, It is like a mild irritation. The face , middle of your chest ,hands, feet, Neck & shoulders can be VERY PAINFUL. It all depends on how large of a tattoo you are getting & how detailed the work is. A little butterfly or heart on your foot is going to hurt. But something small can be finished in a very short time & even though it hurts , your not under the needle for very long. LARGE Detailed designs can be very painful & are most of the time done it 2 to 3 different sittings. Don't get a tattoo when you are drunk. First alcohol thins your blood & you will bleed more when your drunk. Second , being drunk you will most likely think a design is COOL. BUT when you wake up the next morning with a purple unicorn on you neck , it ain't so cool !!!! DON"T GET A STUPID TATTOO Even sober I have seen people get some pretty stupid tattoos. Picking a design took me 3 years of thinking , design & re-design before I was happy enough to get it inked on... A tattoo should mean something special to you, Like a memorial tattoo or a way to remembers a special time in your life. Don't get something your buddy thinks is AWSOME. If it is that AWSOME let him get it tattoo on to his ass. FLASH ( picture on the walls of the tattoo shop) NEVER pick something off the wall. Flash is a good place to get ideas for your tattoo. BUT never get exactly what is on the wall. Chances are there is someone else that thought it was just as cool as you did & he already has the that tattoo. Do you want to be walking down the street & see someone with the exact tattoo you have !!! A TATTOO WILL MAKE ME COOL or LOOK LIKE A TOUGH GUY Both of these statments are FAR FROM THE TRUTH ! ! ! Tattoos don't make you cool or tough. Tattoos are a way for people to express who they are for the whole world to see. Be happy with who you are , pick a design that you like. Don't try to become cool by getting a tattoo to impress others. Don't just walk into a tattoo shop & get something scratched onto your skin. Your going to be stuck with that image on your skin for the rest of your life. Talk to a few tattoo artists , look at there portfolio of tattoos they have done. If you don't like the work he has done , Find another artist. TATTOO REMOVAL Yes a tattoo can be removed these days , BUT it is going to cost you 10 times more to have a doctor laser it off. I have never seen a tattoo be 100% removed. Yes they can get most of it , but most of the time there is a slight shadow of the tattoo. Best thing to do is THINK BEFORE YOU INK !!!!!
