How to amaze your friends and earn yourself some money.

Are you cocky?

Quite overly confident?

This is perfect for you.

To most people, if i mentioned the name Derren Brown, eyebrows would raise and they would grunt in a questioning manner. However, to a few, many would know him as one of the worlds best leading magician, illusionist and psychology expert. If anyone watches TV you will understand he uses a few neat little tricks called Neural Linguistic Programming and Perception Without Awareness I won't bother with NLP, but PWA is a nifty little thing. Perception Without Awareness is say, you walk past whistling a tune. You don't realise, but somewhere inside your brain does, and an hour or so later you start whistling that tune, and you don't know why.

By the way. Ray...

This works on the same principles. This is a good trick to really make yourself look cool and earn some money through a bit of friendly betting Firstly, find one of your stupid friends, preferably one that doesn't know what your'e going to do. Start talking to him using these exact words.

"What I would like you to do is to think of two simple geometric shapes, like a square but your own choice"

This instantly for 85% of people rules out the idea of using a square. Also, if you put your hands upto your chin to make it look like your praying, make sure one hand's fingers are in a sloping horizontal position, and the other in a circle shape. Make sure they can see it, but don't draw attention to it too much, remember, they can see it but they won't realise it. Then give them a few more seconds whilst you keep your hands in that position.

Now say "Now, you are thinking of a Circle and a Triangle, Am I right?"

If they say yes, then just say thank you, shake their hand and go off and do something else without explaining the routine. Before you say what there thinking of, bet them a few quid you could guess there shape.

Definitely something different. I would be afraid people would so catch on though.
