If you need to remove decals for a window it is easy

Getting a sticker or decal off a window , a bumper or ant hard surface isn't that hard. You just have to work slowly & be careful of the surface the decal is stuck on. you don't want to leave a nasty scratch where the decal was.

On a window or glass.Make sure there isn't coating on the window that the razor blade will damage. Gently scrape the decal off, using a slow lifting motion and working from the outside in.Take your time ,so you don't scratch the window

Use a degreaser like WD-40 & a clean rag to remove any sticky residue from the glass. Rubbing in a circular motion with lift the sticky residue & the degreaser will keep it from sticking again. Clean the glass with windex or other glass cleaner to remove the degrease form the glass. This same process can be used on any hard surface. On a painted surface just be carful not to scratch the paint. I try to peal off the decal & then clean off the surface with WD-40. Again. when tyour done make sure you clean off the WD-40 of the paint. Some times a hand held hair dryer will help soften the sticky backing of the decal &  the heat will help the decal to come off easier. What ever you are trying to get a decal off , just take your time , & becareful not to scratch or damage the surface .

Hi, Top post. I have posted the below comment for people who want to remove decals that appear on a painted surface (plus a cheap product to remove any goo left on the surface, once the decal has gone). There are a few ways to remove decals without damaging the paint. Depending on the size of the surface, i would recommend either a plastic or rubber tool (i would avoid metal razor blades as its easier to scratch the surface). The two ways I would recommend are; 1 - Plastic razor blade - it would scratch the surface and is good for small surface areas 2 - Rubber wheel for large areas such as on cars, trucks, shop windows. There is a demonstration of how this works at http://www.decalstickerremover.com You can also use chemicals to remove decals and some work quite well. However, some are only suitable for factory finished paint jobs, so they can not be used on resprays. Its best to check on a small surface firsy To remove any glue or adhesive left at the end my preference is to use is eucalyptus oil. You can buy it from most supermarkets - plus is smells refreshing Regards, Peter
