Honey mustard chicken wings are a sweet tangy appetizer or main dish. Serve these wings at your next get together and watch them disappear!

Some people just don't like hot and spicy foods, or perhaps their digestive system just cannot tolerate it. Whatever the reason, try these delicious honey mustard chicken wings, along with your hot wings at your next party or get together. Honey mustard chicken wings are a sweet tangy appetizer or main dish. Just make sure you prepare enough, they will go fast!

Ingredients:

5 pounds chicken wings

1 cup honey

1/4 cup prepared mustard

2 tablespoons garlic powder

1/4 cup finely chopped onions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium size mixing bowl mix the honey, mustard, garlic powder and finely chopped onions. Let the mixture set for 30 minutes to a hour, let the flavors blend.

Remove the tip from the chicken wing and discard. Cut the chicken wing at the joint by the drumette to produce two pieces. Place all of the chicken pieces onto a cookie sheet. Generously coat each chicken wing with the honey mustard mixture.

Place the chicken into the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Take the wings from the oven and turn each piece over. Generously coat each wing again, with the honey mustard mixture. Return the chicken back to the oven and cook for another 15 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Remove from the oven and serve while still hot. Extra honey mustard mixture may be served on the side for dipping.

A spicy variation to this recipe, if you just like your wings hot, would be to add 1 tablespoon of ground red pepper to the honey mustard mixture, before coating your chicken wings and placing in the oven.
