Make Money by Sharing Your Expertise

It is possible to make money just by sharing what you know.

Do you know how to edge a lawn?  How about making the prefect martini?  Wait; can you calm a fussy baby in record time?  If you can do any of these things and more, and teach other folks how to do it, you can earn money.

What’s the catch?  The catch is that you have to be able to write the instructions in an understandable, engaging manner.  You have to write it so clearly that a 6 year old could read the instructions and be able to edge the lawn without asking for help.

Okay, maybe the 6-year-old example is a bit of an exaggeration.  However, if you are able to take your expertise and teach others how to do it you can earn money from the comfort of your own home.  You can write “How to” articles for eHow.

If you have ever searched on the internet for a way to do something, more than likely you have come across an eHow article or two.  Some of the articles are written by hired freelance writers, but a majority of the How to’s are written by people like you and me.

The great thing about sharing your knowledge and expertise is that you can earn money doing so.  Some experts are earning in excess of $2,000 per month (of course they have written quite a few articles and have been doing so for several months).

Some of the writes share not only their expertise, but have put together eBooks (How to Write for eHow and Increase eHow earnings ) explaining how they earn a couple housand dollars a month writing How to’s for eHow and how their income is continually growing.

Just for grins, I decided to join them to see what the hoopla was all about.  Much to my surprise, I’ve earned a few dollars each month and the earnings are growing (I share my earnings here ).

With the economy currently in a tailspin and rising unemployment, maybe its time you take some of your knowledge, share it and get paid for it.  What do you have to lose?  Go over to eHow and sign up for the Writers Compensation Program (WCP).  You must be 18 years of age and a US citizen in order to partake of the WCP.

If you’re not a US citizen, although you may not be able to benefit from the WCP, you can still write articles for eHow.  eHow has a good standing with the search engines and gets quite a lot of internet traffic.  Even if you can’t earn from the WCP, you can share your knowledge and refer your readers back to your own website or blog through a link and share in some of eHow’s good search engine standing.

The way I see it, it’s worth a try.
