Relationships are complicated for men and women. This poetry states some of those complexities.

As a poet, I find it necessary to say my finished poem aloud, so I get the flow. Some people state they do not like poetry simply because they might not have attained the correct rhythm when it was said. I include punctuation to help the reader along.

There are many forms of poetry written by many different people. One can be comforted by some prose, put into an adventure with poetry or read for the sheer enjoyment. Something is most often gained by those who feast their palate on several poems and not judge their taste solely on one piece. If the contents does not suit you in one poem, keep looking since I have published many on this site that have varied subjects.

"Be There"

Tempted by the evil and lead by the good

Many times doing what I know I really should.

Turned by the wind that can't tip over the fence

Nothing in my world seems to make any sense.

When you are gone and away from me, as now

Everything matters, to say to you somehow.

Not everything was good or it all, even bad

My actions were sincere, yours left me sad.

I turned to you to hold me oh so tight

As if in the time of need, you took flight.

You had no idea, I was going to fall for you as I did

I looked around for you to catch me and you just hid.

The blaming, I won't be discussing at all with you

I already apologized and know what is truly true.

The pangs of heart hurt might be mine evermore

Unless the remedy can now mend just where my heart tore.

Oh time, don't let that fate me mine alone to know

Give me the ideas of knowing, at least let them show.

Just as the day gives way to the stars and the moon

Let the gentleness of comfort me mine so very soon.
