Dietary advice for diabetics
Science has in a few hundred years known that it is carbohydrates that raise blood sugar, and that there is high blood sugar that is the problem for diabetics. When it is not proved that the sugar situation was better with low-fat diet, they thought that no dietary advice was wrong, but instead found that diet plays no role in diabetes, it is all about medication. Pharmaceutical companies are very happy for this development. They have also helped to spur the development.

The current dietary advice for diabetics is that they should eat low fat, and that the fats they eat should be in the form of margarine and edible oils. They will also eat "grain". The fibers are preferably in carbohydrate-rich foods such as cereals and rice. 
 

Endemic diseases
All the existing endemic diseases: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, asthma, allergies, eczema, psoriasis, rheumatism, etc., have become enormously more common during the 1900s. Thus, since the food industry invaded households.

Industry, occupation of the establishment
The food industry realized pretty quickly in the 50s and beyond that they could monetize the emerging dietary advice. It was especially the margarine industry, the food oil industry and the carbohydrate industry who served on the low animal fat and high-carbohydrate dietary advice. The industries have remained at the forefront of food industry propaganda. The food industry has organized itself. In Sweden, the SNF, Swedish Nutrition Foundation, and internationally it is ILSI, International Life Sciences Institute, which has infiltrated every pore of dietary advice establishment. In Sweden, the SNF, which organizes and pays for virtually all dietary research, all conferences, scientific meetings, training, etc.

ILSI is infiltrating and lobbying in all the world's food establishments and agencies. Primarily lobbying the EU and WHO, where they have a significant impact. The EU will now develop new dietary guidelines for people. They have paid the ILSI many millions to establish the basis for dietary advice. The food industry may then be paid by the EU to produce dietary guidelines that benefit their own economy. This is something to look at in the rest of the word to. It is probably the same just about everywere.
