How to Principles of People Development
The are five principles behind the developing people.
Principal 1
Value of People- this principle is about your attitude. When developing an employee do you see value in this employee? Do you appreciate them and do you tell them that you do?
Principal 2
Commitment to People- this principle is about time. Are you willing to give this employee your time to help them grow or do you expect them to grow without any real investment of time from yourself?
Principal 3
Integrity with People- this is referring to your character. Do you have the type of character that people are going to want to resemble and if so does this type of character help people grow?
Principal 4
Standard for People- What is your vision? Do your employees know what your vision is? When developing your people share your vision so they can make the vision their own and as a team you will be able to reach that vision as a group.
Principal 5
Influence over People- This is all about leadership. Does your employee want to grow in their position or the company because of your leadership? Are you leading them in the right direction for the right reasons?
