A society worth learning about

Just a few years ago, people will buy goods for the love of shopping, try to spend just to pass time and more likely in the higher class society to show off!

As a first generation of emigrants to the States, we try to melt in, assimilate most of the culture quickly so we can blend in.

You are surprised first, as to how much there is; how people treat their goods and yes, how wasteful the society of this country became!

Just a few years ago, people will buy goods for the love of shopping, try to spend just to pass time and more likely in the higher class society to show off!

It never worked for me to do things just because other people do them; I always liked to think about myself as a unique person with very personalized needs and being very selective in what I do, and who I am.

In the mist of life trends and living life fully, people got on the boat and sailed along the shore and do what everyone else does, so a new trend was born and it was a madness about having a credit card for each store you walked in and, following every promotion they will put on the board or on TV and so, was that people will have a hard time to fit in all their card in a purse or a wallet.

Then, when the holidays will come around there is not space in the parking lot you can have and people got to the point to step on each other; we are all aware of instances when people died trying to make it to the "black Friday".....
What is life that you have to end it like that!
Oh, the reason was - some savings....I know. It was the savings, OR your life...I think that most could live without shopping that day or without excessive stuff in their house, or stuff they ended up NEVER using!....
So, people are filling in the "malls" - "spending what they don't even have" - charging everything on credit cards. I got this phrase stocked in my mind all the time: “we are a wasteful society,” people's shopping habits prove it!

Not long ago, I decided that shopping is therapeutic for me; I will go out with friends, do some shopping, have a meal together and spend time talking and have fun! It works fine with me, because I don't do it to often and I don't shop unless I need to.

I learned early enough that discipline is what it takes to make it in life; to stay in control of the situation, to be able to lay a plan for your future and make it happened. Live within your means, is not to overstock you house with stuff that you really DON"T need. The most I had was two credit cards and my money in the bank, there is such a great feeling to pay with your own money you earned. Then there will be no surprises with bills, late fees, overdraft situation... Live your lives clean!
