Are the Water Parks in Orlando Open in the Winter?

The weather in Orlando, Florida is so mild during the winter that the water parks are open everyday. Here are the average temperatures for Orlando water parks during December, January and February, plus a little more information about Orlando during the winter.

Many vacationers believe that the winter can be the best time to visit Orlando in order to beat the crowds and take advantage of off-season deals on accommodations. However, few travelers who have not been to Florida during the winter realize just how mild our winters really are. In fact, temperatures are generally so high that even the top water parks of Orlando are open for business. If you are unfamiliar with Orlando's winter weather, just consider the average temperatures of the city during winter months. The average high temperature in Orlando during December is around 76 degrees Fahrenheit, while the average high temperature in January dips down to 73 degrees Fahrenheit. Even in the depths of February, the highest average high is about 75 degrees.

Of course, Orlando still has some cold spells, and there are a handful of days every winter where visiting a water park might not be such a great idea. However, the majority of the winter is still great weather for Orlando's water parks. In fact, our warm beaches and sunny theme parks are the main reasons why so many so called "snow birds" flock to Orlando, Florida to get a break from the northern winters. If you happen to have a cold day or to during your visit, most of our water parks offer a large number of rides and wave pools that are located in an enclosed environment. Come on down, the water is fine.
