The Purpose of (Your) Life

There is purpose and meaning to everyone's life! If you really want to discover what the purpose is for your life, then read on.

“What is the meaning of my life? Why am I alive? What am I supposed to do with my life?” These are questions that most everyone asks at some point or another. There are simple answers to those questions. They are so simple that you will want a different answer, but they go a lot deeper than you would have ever thought.

I will not leave you in suspense, so here is the answer: the meaning or purpose of life is to worship God with all your heart, mind, strength, and soul. Hang on! Now do not leave and say, “OK, that's it! I've done with these religious fanatics.” You asked the question and I answered it! Name one scientist that is experimentally able to “prove” what our purpose in life is. It is impossible. The only logical purpose in life that we could ever discover would be from something higher than us. If we were just evolved versions of monkeys, then there would be no purpose in life for us.

There is a seed that God laid in each and every one of us. This seed is the hope for something greater than this world. A hope for something better for us when we die. Whether we deny that this “seed” actually exists within us or not is debatable. The point, however, is that how could you live life on earth with the knowledge that we will eventually die and will never be again? Believing in God is not wishful thinking or uncontrollable emotions, but it is the hope of Heaven. This hope, which God placed in us, drives us to be better people in the world. Not to be better than others, but to be better than what we were yesterday.

God tells us how we should live our lives throughout the entire Bible. He is the ultimate “standard setter.” In other words, He sets the guidelines and basic laws down for us to live our lives. These basic laws and guidelines, contrary to popular belief, are not to be broken. He did not set them down to hurt us, but to help us. The benefits of one who is a Christian are that they will not go to jail or become addicted to drugs, smoking, or drinking.

To answer your final question, you, and everyone else, are supposed to live your life for God. This is not a hard or impossible task to be accomplished. This world is merely a test. A test to see who will go to Heaven or... Hell. Before you leave here, just remember what I have said. If I am wrong, then the best scenario that could happen is: you live your 100 year life to its fullest and die peacefully, never to live again. If I am correct, then you will live your life, die, then go Hell for an eternity (close your eyes and picture never dieing.) I did not mean for my previous sentence to be hurtful, but for it to be an incentive to make your life right with God.
