Congratulations your pregnant. Now go get your best friend and tell them they should be the one reading the article not you. If you have never thrown a baby shower before, then you are definitely doing the right thing by researching the subject to throw your best friend the best baby shower you can give.

Things You'll Need:
  • Games
  • Food
  • A place for the party
  • Invitations
  1. Step 1

First thing you need to do is find the place. If at all possible it might be better to have the party at the expectant parents house. This way moving all the gifts is not that difficult.

  2. Step 2

After you have the place you need to pick a date and a time. Usually the baby shower is held in the mother's sixth or seventh month of pregnancy. Make your invitations and send them out around the mother's fourth or fifth month. This way it gives everyone time to prepare for it.

  3. Step 3

About a week before the day of the party you need to start preparing. You need to have picked out the games and prizes you are going to have. Prizes don't need to be that expensive.

NOTE: A really inexpensive way to give prizes is to get a big poster board and have it placed out in the open. When someone wins a game let them pick a name for the baby. (Even if the parents already have a name so what) This gives the parents some ideas and it also makes that person feel good that they got to help with the naming process.

  4. Step 4

If there is a diaper party going on at the same place you really don't have to worry about food because typically they do the BBQ all you need to do is have snack and appetizers there for everyone. Also drinks.

  5. Step 5

After you have done that it is time to set up for the party. You need to make sure that you have enough seating. If you don't think you can get enough put on the invitation to bring chairs.

  6. Step 6

If you have a lot of pen and pater games and things that need objects to play the game. You might want to set up little baggies for the people to grab when they walk in the door.

NOTE: You can purchase the reusable bags at the grocery stores to use and give as gifts for the guests.

  7. Step 7

Once everyone gets there let the get settled in before you start, but once you do keep it interesting and fun. They are your friends too so you should be okay, just remember to be prepared. This article should help you with that.
