How To Win Souls the Bible Way

Soul winning is one of the main activity of a real Christian. It is the reason why Jesus Christ came to earth - "to seek and to save that which was lost."

Soul Winning is the heartbeat of God. Soul winning is the heartbeat of Jesus Christ. And soul winning should be and must be the heartbeat of every born again Christian.Soul winning is important because our soul is in peril. In peril I say, because one of these days, we're going to die. And after death, the judgment has been pronounced: "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3:18).

Therefore, as a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to win souls for the glory of God. Though there are many ways to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is very important to know some of these. One of them is using the book of Romans. It is also called "The Romans Road" by soul winners.

One. Let the person realize that he is a sinner before God.

Romans 3:23. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

We are all sinners in the sight of God. And it is very important for a person to realize that he is a sinner in the sight of God. Don't ever skip this step. If the person doesn't accept his sinfulness. Review again. Show other scripture passages on the sinfulness of man.

Two. Let the person realize that the penalty of sin is Death.

Romans 6:23a. "For the wages of sin is death"

Death in the Bible is separation. First death is physical death where the spirit and the soul is separated from the body. Second death is separation from God - spending eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8)

Three. Let the person realize that Christ paid the penalty of sin.

Romans 5:8. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Chrsit paid the penalty of sin on the cross of calvary through his death, burial, and resurrection. Learn to explain it further until the person you're dealing with understand what Christ has done.

Four. Let the person realize that only Jesus Christ can save.

Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

It is not religion that will save a soul. It is not good works that saves a soul. It is not money that can save a soul. It is only by faith through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Five. Let the person realize that he needs to repent and trust Christ as His Savior and Lord.

Luke 13:3. "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

To repent is to have a change of mind who God is and who Christ is. To repent means to have a change of mind about sin that it's wrong, and must be forsaken. As one Preacher says, repentance is turning away from sin, and turning to God.

Trusting and accepting Christ in one's heart is through prayer asking the Lord to save his soul. Here's an example of a prayer from the heart of one who truly is repenting and trusting Christ:

"Oh God in heaven, I accept that I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. Lord Jesus Christ, I am opening my heart to you, please come into my heart and save my soul. I am trusting you to be my Savior and Lord. Please help me to live the way you want me to be. In Jesus name, Amen."

Important: After a person prayed trusting Christ as Savior, it is important to show the person what happened when he trusted Christ. These are some of them: he is now saved and have eternal life; he has become a child of God; there is no more condemnation on him; he is a new creature.

Follow Up. Schedule a time to follow up the person you won to the Lord. Become a friend. Help that person and be a blessing to others.

Why should I take a person trying to comment on religion seriously when he has a moniker like learn2earn?
