Notes:

This recipe is ideal for preparing partially ahead and finishing off at a party location or a potluck. Prepare up to insertion of pick and prepare sauces at home. Then pop in the oven at friends or familys.

You can try experimenting with other dipping sauces and give your guests more than one option. Mild horseradish sauces are also a good accompaniement. Some rich cheese sauces are also good for dipping but be careful not to choose one so strong or pungent that it diminishes the flavor of the appetizers.

Prosciutto may be substituted for bacon to go with Italian meals.

Use themed wooden or plastic picks from your local party store to dress up your presentation for a party or gathering.

Double or triple the recipe with ease for larger gatherings.

This appetizer recipe does not freeze nor reheat well.
