Some of us do tend to overlook the part of the body that can also be a source of health problems - our nails.Nails should be taken care of.We should give importance to its maintenance as infections and dirt in the nails can cause many health afflictions.This article gives a few tips of nail care.Follow them for healthy nails.
Most of us do strive to take good care of ourselves and our health.This includes keeping a tab on what we eat and how we maintain our body.But some of us do tend to overlook the part of the body that can also be a source of health problems - our nails.Nails should be taken care of.We should give importance to its maintenance as infections and dirt in the nails can cause many health afflictions.This article gives a few tips of nail care.Follow these tips for healthier nails.
Nails should be properly and regularly cut if you are a male and are not interested in having long nails.Else, if you like to keep long nails then better take good care as the following tips suggest:
* Never cut your cuticles or calluses.Cuticles protect the nails from infections.
* As far as diest is concerned, consume foods that are a rich source of zinc like eggs and milk.
* Also include fruits like apples,cucumbers,grapes etc.Also onions,garlic and nuts help a lot in growing healthy and strong nails.
* Never leave your fingers and toes damp for a long time.This can increase the chances of fungal infections.
* Keep your nails moisturised.You can use petroleum jelly for this.
* You should buff your nails regularly as this increases blood supply to the nails and helps them grow faster.
* If you like applying nail polish, also see to it that you don't keep it on for many days at a stretch.Make it a point to regularly use a nail polish remover.
