How to make homemade Delicious traditional grape jelly for this thanksgiving or anytime! Grape jelly is fast and easy to make try making it with your kids or friends! This is my old time favorite cause it taste so good and it only takes 40 to 60 minutes of your time!

  1. First thing you wanna do when you get home with everything is wash and drain the grapes very good since they have been sitting in the store that whole time. Place the grapes into a large kettle and cook them over a medium flame until the grapes are soft. This usually takes 10 to 20 minutes.
  1. Once they are soft place them in a jelly bag, so the juices of the grapes can drain out into a jar or pot. Only put 1 or 2 cups in a jelly bag at a time, the bag will catch everything that you dont want in your jelly.

  2. If the jelly isn't coming out smoothly try gently squeezing the bag with clean hands. Clean the jelly bag of everything so the jelly can smoothly drip through, once in awhile.

  3. Now you will want to bring to full cups of grape jelly to a boil. Once its to a boil you will want to reduce the heat to a low flame, then add sugar once that is added to the mixture dont let it boil again.

  4. Stir until the sugar has totally dissipated it should start to crystallize if the sugar isn't mixed in well enough. RIGHT after that pour your jelly into the glass jars that you have picked out.

  5. Once they are in the jars place the lids on the glass jars and make sure no jelly is on the rim it will mess the seal of the jar up and your jelly will be ruined. Place jars in boiling water for 7 to 10 minutes and take out.
