Tips on how to get white deodorant stains and marks out of your clothes.

You've got to head out in a little bit and you've just discovered those annoying white deodorant marks all over your shirt or blouse. Read on to get rid of those marks in no time.

Solid stick deodorants are often advertised as being not only stronger then their gel counterparts, but come with a promise of leaving no marks. But you're here because you need to get that white deodorant mark out of your clothes, so obviously that promise rarely holds true.

How do you remove the white marks left by your deodorant?

Wash the clothing - Yes, the most obvious tip comes first here. But for maximum deodorant removal, be sure to turn your clothing inside out before washing. Otherwise residue may remain even after a full wash cycle. Also be sure to wash the clothing that is stained with minimal amounts of other clothing. This reduces the chance that the deodorant will come in contact with other clothes.

Don't have time to wash them and heading out soon?

You could have avoided the deodorant marks altogether by applying your deodorant after putting your clothes on, then just washing the clothing later. But that is for next time.

But now you have marks on your clothing and can't wash right now. The good news is that you can get them out quickly and easily in under 5 minutes or less.

Rub them out - You can use a variety of items to gently remove the white marks or at least minimize the sight of them. My personal favorite is to use dryer sheets or fabric softener sheets to pull the deodorant out of the fabric.

You don't even need to waste a new sheet doing so, a quick look near your laundry basket or dryer usually results in finding a used dryer sheet. Use it and rub it over the deodorant mark. The sheet's material will pull the deodorant right out of the clothing. Be sure to remove excess lint from the dryer sheet before using it, otherwise you'll replace the white marks with lint and gray marks.

As an added bonus you'll smell great!

Keep a few dryer sheets in your car, purse, or pocket so in case you missed a spot you can get it out quickly and easily.

Unsightly white marks on your clothing can take away from the look of your outfit or just be downright embarrassing. Always check yourself in the mirror before heading out to catch white marks before someone else does. For best results, apply your deodorant after putting your clothes on, being careful not to touch other parts of the clothing (like the sides of a shirt) when going up to apply the deodorant.
