¼ cup of butter
7 cans of French cut green beans
3 tablespoons of flour
1 large onion diced
2 cups of crumbled butter crackers
1 cup of shredded cheese
½ cup of cream
Start by melting the butter on a low heat, and add the onions to the mix. Cook on low until the onions are soft and golden. Add the flour 1 tablespoon at a time and mix well. Raise the heat a little bit and add the cream. Continue mixing until a creamy sauce is formed.
Remove from heat and add the green beans and half of the cheese to the sauce. Toss all of the ingredients until they are mixed well. Pour in the bottom of a buttered casserole dish. Mix the cracker crumbles and the shredded cheese together, and sprinkle the mix over the casserole.
