In this article, I will show you how to find your own personal-tailored cure for depression.

You probably found this page because you were looking for the best cure for depression, right? Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is there is no ONE best cure that works for everyone, but the good news is that I am about to teach you to find your OWN, unique best cure for depression.

Everyone is different, you see and what works to cure depression for some won't work for others. The things that cause you to feel depression are as unique as you are. It could be caused by a chemical imbalance, but it could also be caused by a number of things in your life that wouldn't cause depression for someone else.

I have suffered with depression for most of my teenage years growing up and it robbed me of many days of happiness I could have had. In this article I will show you how I found my own unique cure for depression and put it into action.

Step 1

Make a list of things that make you feel depressed. Literally carry around a small note pad and a pen in your pocket all day and every time you find yourself feeling depressed, jot down what you suspect triggered the depression. Was it looking in the mirror and seeing something about yourself that you didn't like? Was it a comment someone said? Maybe it was something that had nothing to do with you. Maybe it was something you saw on the news or the side of the street. It is crucial that you take these notes down for Step 2.

Step 2

Write down a solution to each of the problems you identified on your list. The goal here is to come up with a way to prevent any of those factors from causing you depression ever again. With so many depression-causing factors, I know it seems hard but if you want to win this battle, you have got do it!

An example to a depression trigger would be looking in the mirror. When you look in the mirror, maybe you feel self conscious about your weight. So what is the solution? Well, you have a choice! Either stop looking in the mirror or lose weight! If you choose to lose weight, it will be a difficult challenge but it doesn't have to be "hard". It can be something that you love doing! Competing with yourself each passing day to do better and exercise harder than the last day will not only defeat depression, but you'll see a much more appealing body in the mirror as a nice added bonus!

Let's take another example. Maybe when you see the news on TV and learn that an innocent old woman was murdered in her home last night you feel depressed. How do you over come this? STOP WATCHING THE NEWS! Most of it is just depressing information that won't help you anyways. The rest of it is out-of-balance propaganda to make someone look good and someone else look bad. It will honestly do your mental health good to cut watching the news out of your daily schedule all together.

Here's a final example. Maybe your not doing so well at your job and your boss is giving you a warning that you better step-up your performance or there will be discipline. The solution to this issue to make a goal with yourself to increase your performance. Make it an exciting challenge to prove your boss wrong about you! Set a goal and work to achieve it.

As you can see, the solution to most causes of depression is to set a goal! Why? Well, as we all know depression and despair are the same things and a goal gives you hope. Hope is, of course, the opposite of despair and it is impossible to experience two opposing emotions at the same time.

This IS how to find the best cure for depression. Find goals to give you hope to over-ride the despair! Like I said earlier, for each people they will be different.

Step 3

Stay committed! Each day you stay focused and work towards your goals, the more hope you will feel for the future and the more you will begin to win the battle against depression!

Now that you know how to find the best cure for YOUR depression, you hold the key to unlock a new life! Whatever your causes of depression are give you the opportunity to set amazing goals and excel in life like you never have before.

Over time you will find depression was just a thing of the past and as long as you don't stop working towards your goals, you will never feel it again.

As I said in the beginning of the article, I had suffered a very long time with depression myself. I have found that by setting goals to excel in the areas I once was weak, I feel a sense of control and hope for my future. This has stomped out any depression or despair I used to feel. My life turned around in 360 degrees and the areas I used to be weak in are now my best strengths! You'd never believe this, but I used to be the fat kid in high school who everyone made fun of. Just look at me now!

Keep up the hard work and come hell or high water, you show Depression who is boss!
