AV Care disguises itself as an anti-virus and tricks unsuspecting web surfers by performing a bogus virus scan of the victims computer. Believe me, getting this program insalled on your computer is a nightmare.

The internet is filled with spywares, viruses and various malicious things that will try all sorts of tricks to get into your computer. Some like to disguise themselves as a legitimate program that will prey on unsuspecting victims. One program that do this is AV Care.

AV Care disguises itself as an anti-virus and tricks unsuspecting web surfers by performing a bogus virus scan of the victims computer. Believe me, getting this program insalled on your computer is a nightmare.

I'm not quite sure how it got installed in my computer. I just noticed a new icon blinking in my task bar. It was saying that my computer was infected and that I should run a virus scan which I did. After the quick and what seems to be a scan of my computer it displayed a report showing the number and names of the threats found in my computer.

The problem wasn't the detection but the removal because in order for it to remove the threats found in the bogus scan I must purchase it first which, of course, I didn't do. Suspicious, I searched for AV Care in Google and the result was not surprising. As I've discovered, AV Care performs a bogus scan and shows hundreds of threats then requires the user to buy the program to be able to remove those threats.

I also discovered that removing it wasn't too easy as well. I've tried all the tips, tricks and followed all the removal instructions that I've found and yet I was not successful in removing it. In the end, I was forced to do a fresh install of my operating system which was much easier and faster than trying to figure out how to totally remove AV Care from my system.

Fortunately, my data files and operating system files are in separate partitions and hard drives so reinstalling wasn't much of a burden. I also don't have many applications installed which made the process much quicker and as for AV Care, well, I still don't know how it got installed into my computer but I'm quite certain now that it will never be installed ever again.
