How to sell your Wii

In this guide, I am going to cover some areas regarding selling a Nintendo Wii

The first thing we are going to cover is the reason why you are going to sell this. Most people think it simply doesn't matter what your reason is, you just want to get rid of it. Unless you are selling it to a shop that buys and sells games, such as GameStop, you should have reason. I will cover game shops later. Now, why do we need a reason? Well whoever is going to buy it will probably ask why you are selling it.

The #1 place to sell a Nintendo Wii: Craigslist

I myself am a newbie to this site. I have just heard about the site and decided to give it a shot. You simply post  your ad, put a few details, and the price you are asking. This is all in a local area. Now why is the the #1 spot? Well other than getting the amount of money you should rightfully get for your product, you don't even need to have transportation. You can request your buyer to pick it up. They will come to your house, look at everything you have, then purchase it. It's good because you will get the cash in person, and there is no way you can get scammed. Warning: Do not accept any checks or money orders, etc. from Craigslist buyers.

The second best place to sell your Wii would be any other site you can sell things online. This includes sites like Ebay.com or Amazon.com. I have never messed with these sites (other than making a few purchases from Amazon). It's not my taste of choice, but lot's of people do it. Simply put your product up, state the condition, and BAM, people are bidding away at your console.

The third best way to sell your Wii is to go to your local Gamecrazy. Notice I said Gamecrazy, not Gamestop. Avoid Gamestop at any cost. They will pay you about 30% of what they turn around and sell it for, a scam in my book. Anyway, Gamecrazy pays a decent price for your games and consoles. If you purchase their MVP card, you will get even more on your trade ins, and discounts on purchases. As of right now--Nov 5, 2009-- Gamestop is offering $60 for a Nintendo Wii. Now, I do not have the exact price for Gamecrazy, but with the MVP card I can assure you that it will be at least $100. My guess would be $120 though. Gamestop would pay $5 for a game that Gamecrazy would pay $15-20 for. You can see where this is going.

Avoid Gamestop at all costs.

To finish this off, I want to state that this guide is not supposed to be an in depth report on what you should do step by step. I am simply providing guidance as to what will help you. I don't think you should ever sell anything to Gamestop unless you are on the verge of death and need the money immediately for some medicine. Always have persistance. Don't give up after a day or two thinking nobody wants it. Give it atleast 2 weeks.

Good luck selling.
