Ripping a cd is a very common thing done by many people around the world. It is easy to accomplish but as far as a DVD goes, its not as easy. Here are a few simple steps that need to be follwed in order to rip a DVD onto your computer.

In order to rip a DVD you need to have the right program. There are many out there that are safe and easy to use. You can find them by searching online for a DVD ripping program. Just be carefull where you get it from because not all sites will provide you with what you think they are. A good site to download from will normally have comments below the download button. They are comments from other users saying that its safe to download and works good.

Once youve downloaded it to your computer, open the program up. This program will be able to extract the information off of the DVD on to you computer.

Now that your program is up and running, chek it out a bit and get familiar with it all. Once youve done that, insert the DVD you want to rip into your computer. With the program open it should automatically detect the DVD and ask for further permission to rip it. All you have to do is click yes and follow the instructions your program gives you.

Soon after the DVD ripping process is done, you can pull your DVD out and still have acess to watching it on your computer. You can burn the file to a dvd and make coppies to keep aroudn the house or you can open it up with a program to watch on the computer. Make sure you don't sell any dvds you made coppies of because it is very ileagal. Enjoy your movies!
