How to make delicious Pan gravy for your loved ones family Thanksgiving dinner. This will make a lot but you will be glad for the next day left overs.

  • 1/3 cup of flour
  • 4 1/2 cups of warm chicken broth
  • Pan drippings from a roasted turkey
  • Salt and pepper

First thing you will want to do is skim five tablespoons of turkey fat from the pan drippings or the same amount of butter will do, and then place it back in to the roasting pan. Don't forget to skim off the extra fat and get rid of it, you wont be using that stuff.

After that put the pan on the top of the stove set the burner you choose at medium, you need to use a metal pan only for this use a sauce pan if you only have glass or enamel. If you don't use the correct pan it'll ruin the pan your using for the gravy.

You want to add the flour to the pan and cook it after all that, stir continuously for two minutes. You will want to add half of the warm chicken broth while whisking it, let it cook for about two to three minutes while whisking it with out stopping. Make sure its over moderate heat and keep whisking till the gravy thickens.

Taste your homemade Pan Gravy. Also add pepper and salt for more taste to the gravy. You want to keep the gravy at a warm temperature so it will flow easily. Pour in to a gravy boat and serve to family members or who ever.

  • Makes about ten servings.
  • Add red currant jelly for a more sweet taste.
  • Don't let it burn or you might not beable to get good gravy.
