How to Roast a Thanksgiving Turkey

How to roast a delicious stuffed Thanksgiving turkey for this Thanksgiving!

First heat the oven to 325*F degrees. You will need to rinse your turkey with cold water and blot dry inside and out to, use a paper towel to get dry. Place the celery, carrots, giblets, onion, and neck in a large roasting pan with the turkey place the turkey on top breast sides facing you.

Carefully and loosely pack the stuffing in the neck part of the turkey and also inside the body of the turkey. Then take the neck skin and fold it over the hole where the stuffing was put and then after that take the legs of the turkey and tie them together with butchers twine or some thing.

Pour all of the broth into the roasting pan and season the turkey with pepper and salt for more taste. After you have your turkey all seasoned you will need to roast your turkey for three to four hours remember to frequently baste your turkey for a delciuos taste.

You will want to tent your roasting turkey with aluminum foil two thirds of the cooking process for the turkey. Once the times up check how well done the turkey is with a meat thermometer. The temperature you want it the stuffing to be at is 160 degrees, the thigh should be around 180 degrees and the thickest part of the breast should be 170 degrees. Remember to make sure that the meat thermometer isn't touching any bones of the turkey.

Take the stuffing out of your roasted turkey and let the turkey sit for about 9 to 10 minutes before you carve into it.
