Terrific free printable chore and behavior improvement charts are available online! Here is a listing of my top five favorite sites for printing chore and behavior charts to help my children improve their behavior, remember their responsibilities, and earn their allowance!

I have three wonderful boys.  Wonderful boys, who tend to "forget" their chores, have habits they need to break, and habits they need to be reminded to develop.  Because of this, I have spent hundreds of dollars on scheduling and “behavior encouraging”  systems and charts over the years.  When glossy catalogs come in the mail,  I pull out my credit card and rush to buy elaborate systems with fake money, mommy stores, reward tokens, and an endless array of pocket charts with arrows and stickers.  Every time, within a week or so, I grow tired of trying to keep up with the endlessly elaborate system and decide it is easier to just wash the dishes myself.  After many years, and many wasted dollars,  I found a better way.  Now I use free printable chore and behavior charts from the internet.  They are free, easy, and quick to change whenever anyone becomes “too old for Barney”.

To use the free printable chore and behavior charts, I prefer to print them out, laminate them using laminating sheets or report covers, and then mark them each day with a dry erase marker.  If you would rather write directly on them, or allow your child to mark them with stickers, you could print out a new one each week.  To keep the children on track with their chores, I always use http://www.freeprintablebehaviorcharts.com .  This site offers terrific free printable chore and behavior charts that have popular children’s characters in the corners and margins.  Simply print them off, and fill in the chores.  There is a square to mark for each day of the week.

The http://www.freeprintablebehaviorcharts.com is also a fabulous source of potty training charts.  When you are trying to potty train a little one, it can be fun and effective to use stickers that your child can stick on the chart each time they make it to the potty in time.  If you like, a reward can be offered for each completed chart.

When I am making charts to remind older children of their responsibilities, I use http://www.donnayoung.org .  Her charts could keep anyone on track!  Including me.  I use her site for free printable chore and behavior charts when I am making basic reminder charts for older children and adults.

My favorite free printable chore and behavior charts, which include a reward, are the charts from http://www.chuckecheese.com.  These charts are free printable charts which, once completed, can be exchanged at your local  Chuck E. Cheese for free tokens.

If you happen to be a home schooling mom and need free printable chore and behavior charts to keep yourself on track, try this site http://www.homeschooltracker.com .  It is not my personal favorite, but I have too many friends who happily use it to not list it here.

Recently, I started using http://www.chartjungle.com when one of my children had a bad habit of saying a word I didn’t like.  It wasn’t really a bar of soap on the tongue kind of word, but it wasn’t something I wanted younger siblings picking up.  This site has a wonderful selection of free printable charts for behavior changes, take a look!

I hope these sites are a blessing to you.  All are easy to print, free and convenient.  I hate it when a site won’t print, or pops up with a charge after I have filled in all the blanks.  These sites are truly free and truly helpful.  Enjoy!
