The 5th of November a day for the revolutionists of the world. A day for the revolutionary minded and a day for the fans of Guy Fawkes.

Guy Fawkes was a revolutionary that tried to blow up parliament in the 17th century also known as the gunpowder plot. Guy was caught, tortured, and eventually killed by british authorities but his efforts were never forgotten. Instead they became immortalized through rhymes and stories like "V for Vendetta".

Which people seem to remember one rhyme that stands out in this story and that is:

"Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot."

Some people like to celebrate this day by committing acts of anarchy while others like to celebrate it through rememberance. Pursuing acts of vandalism is not recomended rather you can remember Guy Fawkes through the graphic novels or the fil adaption of "V for Vendetta". Another way to celebrate would be to join in during what is called national bonfire night. By either having a bonfire or attending one however it seems to have lost it's touch as much as easter has with some.

In the film adaption of e graphic novel based on Guy Fawkes, V as he is called is a vigilante trying to bring down the oppressive government. In 1605 this is exactly what Guy Fawkes believed he was doing and may have helped transition britain into more of a free government.

I should also add that this day is not to celebrate Guy Fawkes himself some say it is to celebrate th downfall of the gunpowder plot. Some also believe that it is a celebration of all the Catholic conspirators including Guy Fawkes that attempted to blow up parliament.
