With the economy being what it is, holiday shopping may become a chore. The last thing anyone needs to do is stress.

Here are some tips to make this season a little easier. Remeber every little bit helps

Make a list - before you buy any gifts, sit down and make a list of everything you plan to get. If you make a list it cuts down the need to impulse shop.

Budget- Come up with a budget and stick to it. Every year many people put themselves in debt shopping for the holidays. Decide on an amount and make every effort to stick to it.

Layaway- Take advantage of stores that have it. I only know of 3 stores so far that have lay-away Sears, Kmart and Toys R Us. It is so easy this year to do lay-away because Sears and Kmart are giving you the option to shop online, put it on lay-away and make your payments without going to the store. The only time you would need to go to the store is to pick up your purchases.

Find deals- When you find a good deal it is okay to buy it now. Some people like to wait because they believe the price will drop and in these trying times that may not happen. Buy it and hold on to the receipt if the price drops within 2 weeks most stores will give you the difference. Walmart is price matching for 30 days so if you buy from them hold on to your receipt.

Also try not to use credit cards, it creates a bill that has to paid once the holidays are over.
