A number of commercial root stimulators are on the market, liquids, gels, or powders. Each has excellent directions for aiding in your climbing Jasmine starters. Directions are slightly different depending on the product type but all are similar in that it takes minimal effort to use the products. Just dip or soak in solution before planting.

Things you'll need:

  • Root stimulator solutions, liquid, gel, or powder
  • Water
  • Compost –sterile soil mix
  • Terra Cotta planting container with watering pot
  1. DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO USE LIQUID, GEL OR POWDER TYPE ROOT STIMULATOR. Check availability of your desired type at garden stores like Calloways or home stores like Lowes or Home Depot garden departments. When selected, visit store and read labels carefully to make sure you understand the manufacturer’s directions for using their root propagator product You should ask nursery or garden department representative for assistance and recommendations.  See  http://www.ehow.com/how_5599389_cut-jasmine-starter-vine.html
  2. PREPARE YOUR TERRA COTTA POTS WITH THE APPROPRIATE SOIL MIX. Per the author’s article on choosing the correct soil mix, fill your pots as required. Read your selected root stimulator product label and dilute with clean water if necessary. Some of the brands you might consider are Rootone, Dyna-gro, Clonex, Earthjuice, and Olivias to list only a few of the root stimulation products available. Each has it’s own directions and recommendations. All of these can be researched online prior to going to store. You should call the stores first to check what they have in stock .  See  http://www.ehow.com/how_5599486_start-climbing-jasmine-vine-cuttings.html
  3. USE A SMALL CONTAINER TO PREPARE YOUR ROOT STIMULATOR AND DIP OR SOAK YOUR JASMINE VINE STARTERS. It is a very simple process, requiring you to simply dip or briefly soak your vine cutting into the root stimulator solution then remove and plant by sticking vine stem into pre-mixed compost-sterile soil combination. There you have it! If your soil is moist, like we instructed in our prior instructions, you should be able to plant it, check the soil in a day or so and add water to the small watering pot occasionally when needed. Watch your climbing Jasmine vine starters take off!  Make your selection and purchase quantity you need.  See  http://www.ehow.com/how_5604627_choose-soil-jasmine-vine-starters.html
