A Review of the Rainforest Cafe in the Galleria Mall in Houston, Texas

The Rainforest Café is a restaurant that brings fun with the meals and the fun is for both children and adults alike. When entering the restaurant you will immediately feel like if you have been zapped into the real Rainforest in South America, and the children will have loads of fun with the wild bunch animals such as Tuki the elephant, ozzie the monkey and Nile the alligator and all with a coloring book to match.

In Houston a new location has opened in the Galleria shopping mall which is located at 5015 Westheimer Road and it is in the food court right in front of the ice skating rink and it is open from Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For their appetizers you can start out with the chimi-cha-cha which are roasted chicken breasts with sweet corn, onions, black beans, red peppers and four different cheeses, or you can try the Rainforest pita quesadillas which are grilled chicken, roasted peppers, caramelized onions and melted cheese on pita bread or even the awesome appetizer adventure which includes the chimi-cha-cha, the artichoke and spinach dip, cheese sticks and the calamari and it great to share with the table.

For their entrées you can order the macadamia crusted tilapia and coconut shrimp which are tilapia filets brushed with coconut cream and served with coconut shrimp, or the mojo bones which are slow roasted ribs with barbecue sauce and served with fries and cole slaw, or the Maya’s combo which includes mojo bones, Caribbean coconut shrimp and Tuscan chicken served with fries.

If you prefer a sandwich for your meal then you can order the blue mountain chicken sandwich which has Cajun seasoning, or the barbecue bacon cheeseburger which comes with charbroiled meat or even the chicken chimichanga which is a flour tortilla filled with chicken, onions, bell peppers and cheddar cheese with queso sauce over it.

But you can also order some pasta dishes such as the planet earth pasta which is penne pasta with Italian sausage in a marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese, or the rasta pasta which is penne pasta with grilled chicken, pesto, broccoli, red pepper and spinach in an Alfredo sauce, or even the famous pasta lava which is linguini with shrimp, bell peppers, onions, chicken, Andouille sausage in a spicy Cajun sauce.
