Oceanaire Seafood Room is an upscale restaurant located inside the Galleria shopping mall and it is as smooth as a thirties ocean liner but with a very relaxed atmosphere, where you can sit and enjoy drinks in the lounge, have your oysters at the bar or sit in one of their horse shoe form  booths while enjoying the fabulous meal. It is a great break from your shopping spree to sit down and relax with a wonderful meal and their food is and tastes fresh.

The restaurant is located at 5061 Westheimer in the Galleria mall and the hours of operations are for lunch Monday through Friday from 12:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M and for dinner from Monday through Thursday from 5:00 P.M to 10:00 P.M, Friday and Saturday from 5:00 P.M to 11:00 P.M and Sunday from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M. Oceanaire Seafood Room can get pretty crowded especially during the weekends, so it is a good idea to call before hand for reservations or make them online.

For their drink sections you have a wide variety of choices for example if you like cocktails you can order a side car, a Harvey wallbanger or a champagne cocktail. And if you prefer the crisp taste of wine you can go with their white Joseph Drouhin Corton-Charlemange Grand Cru from France, their red Chateau Lafite Rothschild Paulliac, from France or even the house wines which are the Sauvignon Blanc Rochioli, from the Russian River Valley, a Chardonnay Jordon, from Sonoma and PINOT NOIR Domaine Serene Evensstad Reserve, from the Williamette Valley.

The oyster bar is great and you can order some other types of seafood as well such as lobsters, crabs and clams but the oysters seem to be the preferred choice of many. So go ahead and order the oysters and there are different types that can be found on the menu such as the well fleets form Massachusetts, the malpeques from Prince Edward Island, the kumamotos from Oregon and sometimes even the Olympia from Washington, and sometimes you can order half a dozen and mix and match them.
