Rankings and Projections for Quarterbacks for Week 9 in the 2009 NFL season

Week 9 Quarterback Rankings

1.)    Peyton Manning vs. HOU

Projection: 300 Pass Yards, 3 TD’s, 0 INT

Houston’s pass defense has been terrible this year and Manning has been great, so with this match up Manning will be more than great.

2.)    Tom Brady vs. MIA

Projection: 300 Pass Yards, 2 TD’s, 1 INT

Brady should have another nice game against Miami this week. I would expect him to have around the same numbers Drew Brees did against Miami.

3.)    Aaron Rodgers @ TB

Projection: 250 Pass Yards, 2 TD’s, 1 INT, 30 Rush Yards

I would not expect anything less than this from the QB who is among the top scorers with a very easy match up.

4.)    Drew Brees vs. CAR

Projection: 275 Pass yards, 2 TD’s, 1 INT

Carolina seems to have gotten back on track when they stopped Arizona last week, but Brees and friends seem as if they cannot be stopped.

5.)    Matt Hassleback vs. DET

Projection: 250 Pass Yards, 2 TD’s, 1 INT

It’s tough putting a QB who has been hurt and not having a great year in the top 5, but facing Detroit I feel he will he will have a huge game.

6.)    Jay Cutler vs. ARI

Projection: 240 Pass Yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

With Matt Forte proving to be unreliable in the run game against half-decent defenses Cutler is going to air it out more often which means more points for his owners.

7.)    Phillip Rivers @ NYG

Projection: 225 Pass Yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

The struggling Giants defense has been terrible the last three games, but they should have a decent game against San Diego. Rivers will have to play tough to reach his full potential against this struggling defense.

8.)    Kurt Warner @ CHI

Projection: 220 Pass Yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

After a six-turnover game hopefully Warner got all of those interceptions (5) out of him, and he can rebound against Chicago.

9.)    Tony Romo @ PHI

Projection: 200 Pass Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Romo has been on fire lately and seems to have found his number one receiver in Miles Austin, but now he faces a challenge against a Philadelphia defense giving up very little.

10.) Donovan McNabb vs. DAL

Projection: 200 Pass yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 Rush TD

Westbrook’s back, DeSeans great, and he’s healthy which means that this offense can be great if McNabb is even okay.

11.) Matt Schaub @ IND

12.) Ben Roethlisberger @ DEN

13.) Matt Ryan vs. WAS

14.) Joe Flacco @ CIN

15.) Carson Palmer @ BAL

16.) Alex Smith vs. TEN

17.) David Garrard vs. KC

18.) Matt Cassel @ JAC

19.) Eli Manning vs. SD

20.) Vince Young @ SF
