Going on skiing holidays require a lot of equipment. This can be very daunting and frustrating because as a beginner you may not know what to buy, and so we have composed a list of what you will need in this article.

1. Clothing: jackets, hats, pants, gloves, socks, goggles, thermals, casuals, fleeces and tops.

2. Equipment: ski poles, ski boots, skis, ski bindings and ski tools.

3. Bags: ski bag.

4. Accessories: helmets, insoles, skin care, sunglasses and two-way radios.

That's really all you need to have an enjoyable skiing trip. We advise you to buy all these items in advance, however it is best to rent skis, ski poles, ski boots and helmets.

Apart from ski equipment, you will also require a ski pass. Ski Passes are sold either in advance or at the mountain itself, and it will allow you to use all the ski lifts and pistes on the mountain. The prices for these passes range significantly but do not usually cost to much, and you should remember to bring extra money to purchase them.

Once they have been purchased, all you have to do is show your card or swipe it at the ski lifts to be allowed through. It is important that you do not loose the pass, for two reasons:

1. You will not be able to access the ski lifts or pistes.

2. Some mountains require a small deposit, which will be lost if you misplace your ticket.

Once you have got to this point, having organised the purchase of ski equipment and ski passes, all you really have left to do is buy the flight tickets, reserve a hotel and rent a car (not necessary but makes the holiday much easier). And by the way, if you are going to rent a car then don't spend a fortune on getting a fancy one, because you will eventually have to give it up!
