The first big question is ... Does Satan really exist? Could there really be a devil that the Bible speaks about? Most people seem to think so...

Yes, the devil does exist even though many people don't think so. Of course, people have every right to believe what they want. But if they read the Bible they would see that his character is splashed all through out the Word of God. This is the question that people have been asking for thousands of years... Does Satan exist? Well, there are many scriptures that speak about his existance. He is also given a few different names.. For instance: Satan, Devil, Bealzabub as well as a few other names and descriptions. One specific scripture describing the devils fate is..

Revelation 20:10.. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Notice how this scripture says the "devil that deceived them"...This is actually the main characteristic of Satan.. The great "deceiver". He is the father of lies and the great deceiver. The bible also says that he comes as an "angel of light".

2 Corinthians 11:14  AND NO MARVEL, FOR SATAN HIMSELF IS TRANSFORMED INTO AN ANGEL OF LIGHT

I wrote about that in another article but it's well worth repeating so as to warn people of his nature. People reading this who are afraid to think that the devil might truly exist may ask..Why warn about his nature? What can we do about it? Nothing. We don't have to do anything but go to God and he fights our battles for us. I really shouldn't say that we do nothing because we need to study the Bible so we can learn how to stand strong against spiritual darkness. Not only will reading the bible give us strength in Christ Jesus but will sharpen our discernment and bless us with a closer walk with God.
