Does Satan Really Exist? If So... What Is his Purpose?

This is the question that people have been asking for thousands of years. Since the bible speaks about the devil and his demons so much it would be foolish to say that he is just a myth. What does the bible say about Satan and what are his characteristics? Well, there are so many scriptures through out the Word of God but one of the most telling is how he comes as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

So what exactly does that mean... "angel of light"? ..Well, this means that he always appears to be something he is not. This tells us that the devil is the great deceiver. He and his demons will come to people as something or someone that "seems" wonderful, innocent and good. He perverts the truth and is the "father of lies" according the bible. There are thousands and thousands of ways that the devil can fool people, especially today. Why do I say that? Because in our generation the explosion of technology has opened doors for him to enter into. These vehicles in which he works includes the internet, movies, cell phones, I-Pods, Video games, internet games, internet connections, my space, google, television, music, liberal professors, politics, etc, etc, etc... It's almost endless. If this is true and the devils playground is so vast .. how can we be safe? Read the bible. Read the bible everyday and study it as much as possible. People all over the world see evil speeding up like never before. The safe haven from all the evil is God. Read His Word and ask Jesus to guide and protect  you. It works! :)
