Make Money Designing T-shirts

Have you been looking for a great way to make some extra money? Do you have some talent, either artistic or wit? Try designing t-shirts! People love to express themselves or show their love of products and people on t-shirts. It's a business that takes very little startup money and you can run it from home!

Before you start, go to a site like Cafe Press and try selling your designs. This is a site that costs you zero money and it is a wonderful way to test drive your designs to see if anyone is interested.

When you are ready, buy t-shirts. There are many places online that will sell you bulk t-shirts at wholesale prices. Don't buy your shirts in packages of one or two at Wal-mart....it will cost you way too much!

Make a couple of 'test' shirts to make sure that they turn out the way that you want them too. You will need to know if the materials you are using hold up in the laundry, or even to normal wear.

Try selling a few shirts locally. Hunt down flea markets or local consignment shops. Show them what you have and see if they are interested. This will give you an idea of which of your shirts sell and which are the most popular.

To sell online, go ahead and buy a domain name. Many places such as Yahoo, offer business domains for less than $15 a month and the software is included for ease of programming. They also offer a package that will allow your purchases to be done electronically.

Take your time and take notes. Give some of your ideas time to work, and if they don't, just tweak your ideas and designs until they sell!
