Find out how Yankee Candle Winter Woods is in this review.

Fall is quickly passing through, and with winter right around the corner many stores have already began preparing for the winter holiday rush. While fall items go on sale, winter items steal up all of the room on the shelves.

This past week I came across a few nice fragrant treats for the home coming from Yankee Candle. One of those finds included a candle called Yankee Candle Winter Woods.

I simply adore pine scents, especially pine scents that smell 100% like a freshly cut Christmas tree, and when I popped the top on Winter Woods I was smitten with the all natural woodsy fragrance that came pouring out of the jar.

Yes, Winter Woods smells like genuine Christmas tree, with a nice refreshing and uplifting sparkle of freshly fallen snow.

The scent was overpowering, and addicting, and I knew I had to have it.

Normally this candle sells for close to $20.00, but Home Goods had it for sale at only $12.99, which is usually unheard of when it comes to Yankee Candles large jar candles.

At home though, when I went to burn the candle I was surprised at how long it took for the overpowering scent to finally make itself noticed. It burnt for nearly an hour before the scent finally came through. The disappointing thing about the candle though was the that scent was really, really weak.

A lot of candles are known for this. Smelling great when you sniff test it, and smelling weak and dull when you actually burn it. Usually though Yankee Candle never disappoints, so it was pretty surprising coming from such a well known brand. Yankee is known for quality, so the lack of quality was a real disappointment.

Overall:

I let the candle burn for a few hours thinking that maybe the scent would power up the longer it burned. Unfortunately the scent was just as dull, no matter how long I let it burn. I was pretty annoyed with this one, and wouldn't recommend it.

If you are looking for a genuine strong Christmas pine scented candle try out Yankee Candle, Sparkling Pine and skip out on Winter Woods
