Is Yankee Candle, in Sparkling Pine worth picking up this holiday season? Find out in this review.

There is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than walking into a room in our home and inhaling the deep authentic fragrances of the great outdoors.

Around this time of year some of my favorite scents take center stage. Pumpkin pie, cranberry and most of all, pine. Nothing recharges the soul quite like the scent of pine, with its powerful natural woodsy fragrance, I cannot get enough of it.

Candle companies try to mimic the authentic Christmas tree fragrance, but many of them fail, and only very few manage to capture the pure essence of the scent, making it so authentic that if you closed your eyes you could imagine standing in a pine forest.

This year I went into Bath & Body Works hoping to find a season favorite called 'Tree'. Unfortunately the scent was no longer being sold there, and wouldn't be making another comeback.

My only option was to find the candle online, but I didn't want to spend the money to have it shipped.

While browsing a local Home Goods, I came across a small selection of season candles by Yankee and other companies. Many candles labeled pine smelled nothing like the real thing. Either they would be too sweet, to bland or too spicy.

Although Yankee Candle has been one of my favorite candle companies for years, there are times where I simply pass them by because I cannot stand the overpriced asking prices on some of their larger jar candles.

Home Goods though tends to have sales that you cannot pass up. I came across their Sparkling Pine candle in a large glass jar, and popped the top to give it a sniff.

Sparkling Pine smelled like Christmas. It was as if old man winter came rushing through the door to kiss me right on my cheek. It was pure holiday bliss, and there was no way I would walk away leaving this candle behind. Had it an asking price of $30.00, I'd not of hesitated to cough it up.

Luckily for me, Yankee Candle, Sparkling Pine was priced at $12.99, where normally a candle this size would cost $20.00 or more.

My Use:

Sparkling Pine was very powerful when the lid was popped off, and I had a feeling that it would smell just as powerful and holly jolly delicious while burning.

It took awhile after lighting the wick, but in about 40 minutes the soothing refreshing authentic pine scent began to slowly trickle through the room, eventually flooding it with the holly mood enhancing flavors of Christmas.

Overall:

Yankee Candle, Sparkling Pine is a fantastic candle. If you love the smell of authentic pine trees than this one will not disappoint.
