I’ve discovered an incredible Italian restaurant in Centennial, CO—Luigi’s Italian Restaurant—that puts those chain restaurant giants to shame.

The Atmosphere at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant

From the moment you walk in the door, the outside world melts away. With authentic Italian decorations including a faux vineyard over the bar area, soft lighting and Dean Martin crooning in the background, it’s impossible not to unwind and relax with good company and even better food.

Forget about overhearing details about last week’s ladies’ night from the customers seated next to you because the tables are spaced generously apart, allowing for privacy and comfort. Luigi’s also offers an outdoor patio which is a fantastic seating option during the summer and fall.

There’s an even split between families with children and adult parties, as Luigi’s Italian Restaurant caters to all types of clientele. On most nights you’ll see the “regulars” sitting at the bar enjoying a cocktail or a glass of wine. The entrée selection is diverse and ranges from traditional Italian cuisine like spaghetti marinara, baked ziti and lasagna. Luigi’s Italian Restaurant also has some great dishes that fuse seafood with classic Italian ingredients—like their Salmon stuffed with fontina cheese. Don’t forget about their pizza selections, once you try one you’ll never go back to corporate pizza again!

For a lighter dining option, you may want to try a bowl of their award winning minestrone soup, voted the “Best Minestrone in Denver” by Westword. The sausage that makes this soup legendary is prepared according to an old family recipe and is sure to have you ordering a second helping.

When it comes to the desert options, the chocolate cake is the best on the menu. Imagine rich dark chocolate pudding mousse sandwiched between two layers of moist chocolate cake, topped with creamy chocolate icing and finished off with chocolate shavings. I nearly orbited the earth when I had my first bite.
