A Review of Amici Restaurant in Sugar Land Texas

Amici Italian restaurant is located in the town square area of Sugar Land which is the downtown part of the neighborhood; the restaurant offers great cuisine in a fun environment that is great for friends, romantic dinners and family alike. The restaurant is located at 16089 City Walk Town Plaza and it is big enough so that usually the wait for a table does not go over fifteen minutes, and the décor is bright with its blue lights and spacious center.

The restaurant has a full wine lists of reds, whites and ports from both Italy and the United States and you can order a glass of Gabbiano Pinot Grigio for $8.00, a Fox Hollow Chardonnay for $7.00, a Tutto Bene super Tuscan for $10.00 or a Crane Lake Cabernet for $7.00. And if you prefer to order a bottle for the table you can go with Banfi Principessa Gavi Perlante for $33.00, or the Argiano Rosso di Montalcino for $65.00 to name a few.

Their menu has something for everyone and it has a good selection, for appetizers you can order the calamari peperoncino which are crispy calamari with spicy Italian peppers, tomatoes, garlic and basil for $9.00, or the Artichoke alla Giudea which come with olive oil, lemon and parsley for $8.00, or even the mussels marechiara which are mussels steamed in a garlic, tomatoes, and Italian seasoning for $11.00.

If you decide to have a pasta dish for your entrée you can order the capellini Amatriciana which is angel hair pasta with San Marzano tomatoes, garlic and guanciale for $14.00, or the linguine allo scoglio which are with calamari, clams, mussels, shrimp, octopus and crab in a tomato sauce for $19.00, or the paccheri which are large tubular pasta and it is filled with shrimp, spinach and Fontina cheese, tomato, garlic and basil for $16.00.

And if you decide to order a "secondo" go with the veal cuscinetto which is Romano crusted veal scaloppine filled with Fontina and San Daniele prosciutto and topped with Marsala spiked field mushrooms for $21.00, or the grilled snapper agrume which is a grilled Gulf Coast snapper atop garlic spinach with extra virgin olive oil, citrus and mint for $25.00 or even the braised lamb shank for $26.00.
