Empowerment: A Simple Visualization

Using a simple visualization technique, on a regular basis, can not only help you become more relaxed and focused but can also encourage you to eliminate negative thinking so that you can create a positive outcome.

You may have spent a fortnight in the sun, relaxing and recharging your batteries. You may have chosen to spend quality time indulging in an interest or exploring a new pastime, and you now feel positively invigorated. And yet the moment you settle back into the familiar routine of work and family life every ounce of that positive thinking vanishes overnight. Those big, exciting plans you made whilst away on your break now seem impossible. You sigh despondently and embark on another round of chores.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Using simple visualization techniques can empower you to achieve your heart’s desire. Those powerful images you nurtured, whilst in relaxed holiday mode, can be resurrected and brought to life. All you have to do is picture what you want. The more you do this the more chance you have of making your dreams a reality.

So, take a moment to make yourself comfortable. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Quieten your mind and be still for 5 minutes. With practice you may wish to increase this to 15 minutes or more. Use this time to create, and enhance, a vision of the life you want to lead. Picture yourself doing the things you long to do. See it in your mind’s eye and live it. Feel your senses awakening, and notice your surroundings, the clothes you are wearing, the sounds and smells around you. Feel the warmth of the sun of your skin and allow this to recharge your desires. Acknowledge the movement of time in your visualisation. Experience it like a waking dream.

Practising this simple technique daily will remove the doubts of negative thinking and replace them with positive images that will help you stay focused on the life you want to create. If you can imagine it, you can live it. Now, isn’t that an inspiring thought?
