Learn how you can get mice out of your home.

Have you had mice in your home without your consent? Although mice generally are not harmful to people, it is not a good idea to keep them in your home. By reading this article, you will learn how you can get rid of the mice in your home.

Over a month ago, my family and I started experiencing life in the house with a mouse. Late one night, I went into my bedroom and saw a blurry motion. At first, I thought I was just imagining things; consequently, I continued doing my normal activities such as using my computer. Several minutes after seeing that blurry motion, I saw something run past my drawer.

As I was sure that I saw a small creature run past my drawer at a fast speed, I rose from the chair I sit on at my computer desk to see exactly what it was. A few seconds later, I clearly saw a mouse come from behind my desk and run past the back of my bed along the wall. Becoming nervous about having a mouse in the house, I let my father and brother know that a mouse was in my room. I subsequently moved almost everything that was on the floor onto my bed and pulled the bed out in hopes of finding and catching the mouse.

I did not see the mouse again that night. A few days afterwards, my brother bought two different types of mice traps that are designed to kill mice and my father bought a type of mice trap that simply traps a mouse for the purpose of providing you the opportunity to release it unharmed. If you buy a mice trap which has a spring, which is one of the two types of traps my brother bought, you have to be very careful while setting it to avoid having a finger broken.

All of the traps have been baited with peanut butter and cheese. My father told me that mice prefer to eat peanut butter and they will only eat cheese as a last resort; therefore, you should mostly bait your mice traps with peanut butter.

Until recently, my father, brother, mother and I had only seen the mouse about once a week and it never made a sound. This is amazing in my opinion, considering that I used to think mice make a lot of squeaking noises. When we saw the mouse or it saw us, it ran into a hiding place. Surprisingly, the mouse did not chew through a wall or door to enter our house and it had not bothered us or eaten any of our food.

A few days ago, the mouse was finally lured into one of the traps that are designed to trap a mouse without killing it. We just took the mouse far away to an area that has no homes around to release it.
