Who said humans were the only ones good at poetry? Well, I got inspiration at writing a poem from looking at a picture of confused chickens.

Confused like a chicken (source:Wikipedia)

Feel like a dummy at writing poetry? Feel like a lost Chicken? How do I make it interesting?

Questions like these can make us perplexed. Well, lets face it, you got to have a thing for writing, which is like a recipe, combine feelings, emotions the right imagery together. That's a challenge. It could make feel like a lost chicken.

Personally,  I'm not emotional enough to link words with feelings. I got no idea at writing poems. What exactly is a poem? Well, a bunch of sentences put together, that sound good, and attract your attention, I suppose. Let's see if I can succeed at such an art with the following piece. I know that there's natural writers out there that write really beautiful pieces of art.

Well, I tried my luck with the duck in the first piece for Bukisa readers as shown below.

What was my inspiration? A picture of lost chickens.

Works of art, such as paintings, can give us inspiration when we need to write. For example, this one below on chickens, may inspire the viewer to write something funny on the subject.

Poem About Chickens (Relating to the picture above)

Chicken, chickens

You look confused and distressed

No need to be stressed

You are not going to end up

at KFC all fried up

Only with me

So, my beloved Chickens

Stop running around like crazy

no need to cry like a baby

Let me enjoy the fried eggs you lay

And stop worrying with your heads all day

Poems and music

Poems are somehow like music.

  • Make them sound good, make them rhyme with each other, give it a story and rhythm, and above all, you need a gift.
  • Imagine being a singer, without having a singing gift? You'll be in big trouble. Same with poems, you need some intuition here. It's trying to connect words with our hearts. Our feelings connecting with the sounds of words. That's really hard to do.

What should happen next to the chickens above?
