Where did the panic attacks suddenly come from?

After working since I was 16 and then low and behold I was 50something and bam! Panic attacks/seizures !

One day I woke up to get ready for work and I blacked out, got up and proceeded to try and still get ready  to drive my 30+ km to work and I blacked out again. I have not been able to work since that day. That was in 2001    I have had several EEG's, EKG'S, etc. Anything to do with my heart, lungs, brain. I have been checked out thoroughly. I've had to wear heart monitors, EEG monitors for 2 to 3 days at a time. I have had sleep tests and nothing ever shows up. I am taking medicine for panic attacks, seizures but until this year no one knew what I have.

I have not been able to drive since that day and never been able to work. I still black out an average 10-15 times per week so I can't even take a bus because I cannot control these panic attacks/seisures.These are so hard to prove that they really happen although I do have a few people that have witnessed my attacks. So recently I was told this is panic attacks/seizures brought on totally by stress. Finallly at least there is a name for my problem. Doesn't help a lot though, if I take more meds I will have no life to speak of as I will be in a daze most of the time and if I stay the way I am I will always be on the edge in case I'm about to black out.

I have decided to take the chance and remain human and have a bit of a life. But next time someone tells you they have panic attacks don't shrug it off as if they are nothing because I for one can tell you everyone is different and these things effect people from the slightess flutter in their heart to the panic turn into a seizure.
