How to have a safe Labor day on the boat is essential for not only the holiday weekend, but this also have great information for any trip you take on a boat.

Labor day is a great time to have fun with family and friends but you have to be safe on your boat during the busy labor day weekend. Boat safety is not only for your benefit but also for the benefit of others on your boat and on the water in general. Nothing ends a fun weekend on the lake like an accident, and nothing is worse than an accident that could of been prevented with a little boat safety!
Things You'll Need:
  • Life vests
  • Bell or Whistle
  • Visual distress signals
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Paddle

Instructions:

Step 1

Check all lights and tires on the boat trailer.
Also check tie downs and lug nuts.

Step 2

Now Check for Fire extinguisher, Paddle to get back to land in case of motor failure, Visual distress Signal you need to carry one for both day and night, Bell or whistle for every boat under 65 in length, One life jacket for every person on board

Step 3

Check fuel level, Oil level and antifreeze. You will also want to do a visual inspection of the boat in general check for cracks on the boat on on all hoses. Also make sure that you have the drain plug and any other essentials that go along with your boat.

Step 4

Go to the lake and have fun And be safe on labor day with the boat.
Don't forget your sunscreen and plenty of fluids for you and your ship mates.
