The Pro's and Con's of Abortions
This article includes the main pro's and con's of abortion
For:
I support the right of a woman being able to decide whether she can terminate her pregnancy or not. If a woman feels strongly enough about her choice to prevent the birth of her potential child, she should have the choice of abortion.
Most abortions have decent reasonings behind them. For example, the majority of abortions are considered because the mother is too young, she was raped, or she is just not ready to take on the responsibility. Along with a pregnant teenager comes the high possibility of developing health problems, dropping out of school, getting divorced, etc. Many anti-abortionists argue that birth control or abstinence should have been considered, but what if you were raped? Those contraception's will not be an option in this case. You shouldn't be forced to give birth to a baby in which you had no control over to prevent.
Also, any unwanted baby will not have the life it should have had. The baby would have only lived because of the disapproval of abortion. Forcing a women to raise an unwanted child may cause bad living conditions, rebellion, and promote lower intelligence and inadequate socialization skills. This could lead to stress.
In addition to these reasonings are so many more. Abortion should be an option to all women considering it would include a completely life-changing effect.
Against:
I support the arguments against abortion. There are many preventions and reasons against it which should be deeply considered.
Women who mistakingly become pregnant always have the option of giving their child up for adoption. No baby is ever "unwanted" considering the fact that 1.5 million of the American families wish to adopt. If your not interested in adoption, you should have considered birth control or abstinence beforehand. You should have to take responsibility of your actions rather than going to the farthest point which is killing.
Also, abortion frequently causes intense psychological pain and stress. Therefore, its not even worth it. It will still effect you in that negative way.
